kloof street hotel, lion roars hotels & lodges is a gem! the decor is tastefully done, and the bed was super comfy. we enjoyed great views of table mountain. the staff was exceptionally friendly and always ready to help. it's located just a few minutes’ walk from amazing restaurants and bars, making our evenings enjoyable.

Cozy room, excellent breakfast, with spectacular views of Table Mountain and a lovely buffet offering various meals to start the day right while being just 20 km from the nearest airport.

It was just a strong match for a couple of nights in Cape Town with high value for money. The service by the pool was attentive and added a nice touch to our stay. Consider asking for a room away from the bar for quieter nights.

The modern design of the hotel stood out to us. Receiving a room on a higher floor was a lovely touch, and the mountain view made our mornings special. The attentive staff truly enhanced our experience, especially with thoughtful gestures for my birthday.

The check-in policy needs some TLC. we had to wait even with early requests. Also, the couch and pillows could use a wash – felt a bit neglected. The balcony chairs were uncomfortable, too.

i had a lovely stay at this hotel which exceeded my expectations during my previous visit to cape town. the staff was friendly, and my room had stunning views of table mountain. the breakfast selection was delightful, featuring fresh fruits and pastries.

Rooms feel cramped, lacking sufficient storage space for luggage. During my stay, there were issues with faulty air-conditioning and a TV that failed to change channels. The breakfast offering fell flat, lacking variety with no eggs served and overcooked bacon. A real letdown for a supposed higher-end establishment.

excellent access to parks and vibrant dining scene

I truly enjoyed my stay in this lively hub, with the iziko south african museum and planetarium just a few steps away and numerous dining options like thali and sawaddee thai cuisine within a short walking distance, making it perfect for city strolls and exploring local flavors. it’s an ideal spot for solo travelers wanting convenience and accessibility.

We had an awesome group trip! The location was perfect for visiting great restaurants and checking out the local scene. We also did some whale-watching and found some fantastic outlet shopping nearby. The swimming pool view was a nice treat. I highly recommend staying here, especially if you love being close to main attractions.

The only downside was the slow WiFi in my first room, which was frustrating. It got sorted out once we moved to a different room, though.
